I've been thinking.....what is fun to do in Austin? I need some help from you!!! Geoff and I want to go visit, but don't know where to begin. Plus, our anniversary is coming up. Do you have any suggestions?
My friends, the Portugals, live there and she has a long list of things she wants to do there..you can check it out to get ideas...on my blog, click on the "portugal" link...hopefully it's not private!
There is so much to do in Austin. On your way up you can stop at the San Marcos Outlets...you'll be in heaven. Then you can go and see the Texas Museum, the capitol building, and go to the restaurant Housten's to eat. Those were my favorite things from austin. You can also house hunt and go see the really big houses on the lake. You can always go to Rudy's in Austin too.
Oh yes, the Texas museum. I've been there, and it pretty much affirms everything stereotypical about Texas--bigger, better, boastier... Of particular interest was the 3D movie that ended with the catchy refrain that went something like "There's a Texan in each one of you, you just have to find it."
Also, the capitol building is pretty cool, if you like that sort of thing.
