No labor on Labor Day

Growing up, Labor Day meant just that: LABOR! And lots and lots of labor. I think my mom figured it was a great day to get a lot done....and so we worked and worked! Usually it was yard work, and so I always opted to be the lawn mower-it was the best outside job possible! However, today we did not follow in that tradition instead Hugh let us all sleep in until 7:45, and then we headed to the lake for a picnic and some swimming. It was nice and relaxing, and the perfect amount of sun.

okay, so I put a little too much sunblock in his hair. Woops!

Nice do, Hugh! I also think Labor Day should be reserved for relaxing and playing!

Oh, the memories of labor day.

I can recommend a barber to make that more permanent. I ahve a few other styles in mind, too.

Ann-Marie,
Your house growing up sounds like my house growing up. . . I am glad that you had a non-laborious labor day! :)

I can totally relate! In fact, we usually had to labor on most holidays. Glad you got to relax. Love Hugh's hair!
