We love to make dinner together. Tonight we were having some of Geoffrey's classmates over. They arrived and my game plan was to begin steaming the asparagus once Geoff was slicing the meat. After a few minutes I noticed it wasn't cooking so I picked up the pan and sure enough the bottom melted away. I had been so busy gabbing I had totally forgotten to put the water in the bottom pot. The burner was on high and had completely ruined the pot. Ugh. There goes a pan, and a whole bunch of delicious asparagus.

On Sunday Hugh likes to take all of our canned goods and stack them on his train table. I can't decide if he likes the sound he makes when he slams them down, or the actual stacking part. Either way...I was able to get the dishes done! :)

Yes Grandma, you can be proud. He had no help on this one!

Back up - he didn't get those 4 stacked by himself, did he?
Wow he is getting so big!! I'd like to pretend i'm sorry about your asparagus but I feel that all asparagus should be ruined ;) It is literally the only vegetable I can't handle. Not that you asked.
I am glad that I am not the only one to do stupid things like that. I made some delicious bread this Sunday (even ditched Sunday School to come home and make sure it was rising -- don't tell).
ps -- I love the train table! :)
Totally off topic but speaking of cooking be very jealous that we are making green eggs and ham at school tomorrow. Just the thought of it should be enough to make you want to throw up! -- Asparagus any day over that -- even burned.
isn't it great what keeps them entertained. i still can't believe how big he is- everytime i see a new picture it surprises me. good luck finding another pan- that was crazy. did it smell horrible?
Cute, cute, cute little boy! I found you off of Kristin's blog- if you're wondering how I found you. I'll send you an invite to my blog- ashleyguymon(at)gmail(dot)com.
So how do you like TX? We loved it- we lived in Austin for a few years. And how old is your little boy? He is too cute! I hope that all is well with you!
And what do I do on Sunday? I sluff and go to get myself a slurpee. ;) Good to see you doing well!
Looks like I am not the only one who burns something on Sunday! It never fails, Sunday is my cooking day curse...and you would think otherwise. I love that Hugh stacks cans....my twinners used to love doing that but they would have loved your little car station to put them on....he is so stinking cute!
He is so cute! I am blown away everytime by all that darling hair :) I've done that to a pot once too, bummer.
Hugh looks like a little boy now!! So handsome!
I LOVE that I'm not the only one that burns stuff... I have yet to burn a hole through a pan, but I'm sure I'll join that club soon enough.
