Yesterday

When I heard the door knock yesterday, I was certain it was a nervous breakdown coming to visit.  Absolutely certain.
I woke up not feeling well, to a grumpy toddler, hungry newborn, only 3 diapers left in the house, and an empty fridge.  Great.  Just great.  No diapers meant we were headed to the store.  However that is difficult when the two year old refuses to put on his underwear and shorts.  I quickly decided cartoons were invented for this kind of morning, and ON went the TV. Due to lack of attention span, the TV only helped for a short while and all the mischief began.  When my little blue phone buzzed from a text, I literally got all teary eyed as I read what it said.  My GEM of a friend was coming to get Hugh just to give me a break.  I'm guessing my facebook post of "Today should've been, "take your toddler to work day". Yes, definitely take them", tipped her off to my day.  I tried to decline her offer because you shouldn't turn your tantruming child onto someone else.  But she came and took him anyway.
It was sheer heaven!  I ate some coconut M&M's and went to the grocery store all by myself(okay, Graham came, but he just slept).  I was amazed at how an 1 1/2 hour break makes a world of difference.
Thanks for saving us Jennifer. We totally owe you.  I was so thankful that when I opened that knocking door it was you standing there, and NOT a nervous breakdown!

You are too funny. I know you would've done the same thing for me, that's what friends are for.

And honestly, it totally helped my morning go by and Kyle loved it. He still thinks it's funny Hugh fell asleep in the car!

3 things:

1: I love the new blog layout
2: You can have a nervous breakdown every now and then
3: I am so glad that you have such good friends to rescue you from our nervous breakdowns, because you have been that friend for me time and time again!
