I've got a nail biter. It's a serious problem. If he isn't talking or chewing on a piece of gum, his nails are being assaulted. How do you kick someone else's problem?
Emma had/has that problem. It especially happens under stressful situations or when they are nervous..aka like a new sibling, moving, etc. But lately, I told her to stop if she wants to have nail polish on them. So so far she has stopped. I have read that they usually grow out of it and to not make too big of a deal. Keep his hands busy with something. Also, you can try that ucky stuff you can put on the nails.
Oh I wish I knew how to kick someone else's bad habits. Both my girls are hard core thumb suckers and I have no idea what to do for them. It's getting serious. Penny will be four a few months.

Savanna did that for a while. I just tried to keep her nails clipped really short. I don't know why, but she eventually quit doing it.
Look at those eyes, though! He's so cute.
