Next we drove to Stowe, VA. We went to The Von Trapp Family Lodge and had a DELICIOUS lunch, walked around and drooled over the views and scenery. It was gorgeous.
Next up? The Cider Mill. Here the boys are in the factory. You should have seen Graham, he was going nuts with the juice. He is such a lover of it. He figured out quickly how to work the spigot and it was all over after that.

We bought some of their HOT (as Hugh so glamourously is attesting too) cider donuts for a quarter.
What, you think we should be full by this point?? You are wrong. Next stop? Ben & Jerry's Factory. Talk about FUN! They take you on a tour.

Then outside you go to buy MORE ice cream. They had all sorts of flavors we hadn't seen before. Geoff got some coconut/walnut/fudge concoction...and it was delicious. The boys both got an ice cream bar. Me? I really was fooded out and I passed. Surprising, I know.
They also have this great playground there, so we let the kids play for a long while and we enjoyed being out of the car before our next drive as we were heading out to Sharon.
