I've been seriously pondering the question "Does Autumn take place in Texas?" This morning when I took Geoff to campus we were at 93% humidity with temperature projectection at 91 degrees-it was miserable! The trees are still green, the grass too. Needless to say, it is still HOT! I have been hearing about the crisp air and changing leaves from family in Washington D.C., friends in Wisconsin and everyone home in Utah. I've been eating my fair share of delicious apples-thinking cool thoughts, I displayed my few Fall decorations, and I guess I'll just keep waiting and wondering.....

Nope! It is always summer in Texas. Actually you'll get a few cold fronts. People will put their sweaters on when it is 60 degrees and the next day it will be back to shorts and 90 degrees again.
We are enjoying the hot and dry weather here in Phoenix.
Congratulations! I saw that you are having a boy. So exciting!
Next summer you guys have to visit my favorite water park. Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels. It isn't that far from you, and is like Disneyland with water!

Your blog looks so cute:) I love the fall colors. My whole family is from texas and other than ice storms here and there, that's about it for winter.
Maybe not, but neither does winter. THAT is worth being happy about!
Ann-Marie, I completely agree. I realized the other day, as I read about snowstorms in Utah and flipped my calendar to October, that my brain had no way of reconciling the fact that the calendar said it was October and the weather outside said it was still July! I have decided that this has completely warped my sense of time and seasons. It's too early to say whether I'll get used to this in four years! I would really love to put on a sweater, but I don't forsee that happening any time soon.
That too bad. I hate humidity...its painful! Im sure Texas will catch up soon! How are you liking it?
How do you get your blog so cute like that?!
wow! it sounds like its really hot in texas!!!
The weather will cool off a bit eventually. I think we used our heater a few times each winter.... :)
Sorry to tell you, but there is no such thing as fall weather in Texas. There is only hot summer weather and even hotter summer weather with a couple weeks in Jan. and Feb. that cool off a little!
