(Dad, Mom, and me eating lunch at the Neiman Marcus Cafe)I was getting out of my car at the store the other day when I saw a woman wearing something that has gone out of style years and years ago (I'll mention what this item is later-keep reading). Since then I've been thinking a lot about how fashions recycle over and over again. When my parents were in town we went shopping at Neiman Marcus, and were looking at all of the 'hot' items on display. When lime green came back in, my mom spoke of the really hip, lime green pant suit she wore in college. She said she gave it away, knowing that color would never be back! HA- did it ever come back!
Anyways, it's nice on a student budget-or lack of budget- to have the peace of mind that in 20 or 30 years I'll be able to try out the fashions that I can't afford to wear now.
This is all fine and dandy until we ask ourselves ONE question----Will you succumb when the fanny pack, yes-the fanny pack, comes back in style?
It's going to happen so we'd all better make up our minds NOW-to never ever return!

I hope not. I'm embarrassed that I ever wore one in the first place; even though they were in style at the time. I think mine was even neon green. Gross.
Oh, come on you guys. I'm making no such promises. Maybe one day when I'm on a family vacation, I'll put my kids' vacation allowance in their little fanny packs and then they're in charge of their own things. I felt so grown up with my fanny pack full of my $5.50 on family vacations back in the day. Sure, I'm embarrassed by the all the pictures, but the fanny pack was nothing compared to my hairdo.
I saw a fanny pack too, the other day. But I'm pretty sure the owner hadn't a clue whether or not it was in style.
But, no. I don't think I ever will.
I was appalled to learn (from my 16 year old sister) that fanny packs are not only back in style but they are now called butt bags. sick. That is so wrong, always has been, always will be. That's a definate no for Cahoon.
So you're saying that I shouldn't wear my "New Kids on Block" hot pink and green fanny pack anymore??? We'll see about that!

I totally wish my mom would have saved some of her clothes for me. And I will only wear a fanny pack if I can wear those jeans with the zippers and bows at the bottom :)
You don't have to worry about me. You'll never see me sporting one. Why would anyone want to put extra padding back there?

That is hilarious! My fun neighbor was wearing a fanny apck the other day. He said he was trying to restart the trend....I don't know...I think it could catch on. Great picture by the way. You are all amazing!
I won't be wearing my fanny pack as long as I can take my My Little Ponies Lunch Pail with me when I go out for lunches...I LOVE the mug that matches!
