I had every intention of waiting to open Hugh's surprise box until Easter morning. However, this morning I got wayyyyy too excited. I have only revealed one gift from the box--THE SHOES! He LOVES them. Really, really loves them. I showed him that they squeak, and then strapped them on. I wish I would've had the video ready right then, because he started running in place as fast as he could to make them go. It was so darling. Then he went and got my shoes, and out on a morning walk we went. It's now two in the afternoon and we've been on 4 walks. He loves to listen to them squeak!

Grandma W. tried to return the annoying squeaky shoes, but to no avail--I was a couple of days beyond the "return window"! It's fun to see Hugh bouncing around in them. Grandpa is quite sure that the shoes are attracting birds to your place!
