Growin' Up

I have been having all sorts of tear up moments lately.  I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with the fact that I'm 36+ weeks pregnant.  But I can't look at Hugh and not think, "man, he's all grown up."  Tonight we had FHE, and were talking about Joseph Smith.  When we got to the part about the prophet Joseph asking which church to go to,  Hugh replied, "the red one."  Geoff and I both smiled and responded, "yes".  See, the building we attend is red.  And Hughie always refers to our church as the Red One.
I was induced with Hugh at 36 weeks and 3 days.  That'd be tomorrow for me, if I was having this baby on the same schedule.  He was a lil' peanut that stole my heart from the beginning.  I hear you can love another child as much as your first.  I sure hope so, because  I'm completely enamored.

Ohhhhh, I know just how you feel. Jed and I had so many teary snuggle moments before his sister was born. He loves his sis, but it still breaks my heart to see his big eyes and little voice pleading for "just a little bit of attention, Mom?" Of course he knows exactly what he's doing, stinker, but I know he means it too. Some days I still wish I could have that sweet little boy all by himself again. Enjoy your last few weeks. A new baby will bring so much more joy to you and the big brother, but these days won't ever come back!

I wonder about this third baby of mine...which is funny because obviously I found out that baby #2 was JUST as amazing as baby #1. They do grow up so, so fast though!

Baby Hugh was so tiny! I bet it's weird thinking about already having had this baby by week 36. I hope he continues to grow and that he's strong and healthy when he comes out. I'm so excited for you and Geoff, and Hugh, too! He'll love being a big brother. It's such a cool, spiritual, overwhelming experience having another child. It's amazing and you'll love it.

I've been SO emotional lately thinking about how fast my own girls are growing up. I find myself wiping tears all the time as I think about baby number 3. We're excited for another one but at the same time Ginger's still my baby and I know when the third child shows up, Ginger will seem so old and I don't want my girls getting any older.

Hugh was such a cute baby and has just gotten more and more handsome the bigger he got. It is amazing how much you can love the first child and still love the second one tonz!!

I hope everything goes well in your last few weeks!!

Knowing your capacity to love you will for sure love your new little one with just as much love as you did for Hugh! I can't believe you will have 2 kids. . . boys! :)

Yay! You are on the major countdown now. How exciting. Once you bring your baby home, Hugh will seem SO much older, bigger, more mature...not your "baby" anymore. What a fun time!
