Jet Plane

My eyes are filled with tears even before I write this post.  Oh, how I have LOVED my time here in San Antonio.
Why?
Yes, I have loved the Alamo, the delicious food, the great 4th of July & St. Patrick's Day parades.  I've loved the fabulous shopping, and the mild winters.  I loved Sea World, and the rockin' zoo. I've loved Park Day, Book Club, library time, and my Relief Society. I've loved Easter Egg hunts, ward activities and BBQ's. I've loved Game nights, pool days courtesy of St. Moritz, and bike rides.
But above all this it's the people that I have loved the most.  The people here have been simply wonderful.  We have found a family away from family.  A home away from home.  And a place to call our own.
I moved here displaced and unsure of what would fill my time.
I leave here with two healthy boys, and am venturing back to the feeling of displacement.  My sweet and always worrying Hughie is so confused at what is happening.  We boxed up our home and instead of moving straight to a new one we spent four days in a hotel, four days at a friend's house, and then we'll spend five more nights in a home of generous people we've never met.  Then we'll live in a home for only 2 months before we move to our "permanent" home.  Geez Louise!
One thing Hugh is certain of, that when we get to the airport in just two hours, a "jet" will be waiting for us.  He is adamant it is not an ordinary plane, "but a fast jet that will take us to Boston!"
So when I get on that jet today, I can't help but feel so overwhelmed with love and gratitude for the PEOPLE here, that have really made the impact on me and my family.  The people who been examples for us.  The people who we have worked with, laughed with, and cried with.  The people who have served us, and allowed us once in a while to serve them. The friends, neighbors and ward members are the reason I LOVE San Antonio.

So if you haven't heard...spread the word....in 5 years a Reunion Cruise is in the works.  And YOU better be there.

We sure will miss your family too. Good luck to you in Boston and may you find as good of friends as you found here in SA. It's not likely you'll find anyone as cool, but.... :)
