Lucky for us, we didn't have to wait long for our next visitors to come. Thursday, July 14th William and Audrey came. It was heaven. You wouldn't believe how perfect Will is. He even let me rock him to sleep! He smiles, coos, and somehow survived all the smooshing attention Hugh and Graham gave him.
We visited Lexington again, and spent time in the Scottish Mason museum.

Graham loves to "run". Look at his smile! :)
Then we toured past the minute man museum, and was able to discover KIMBALLS ice cream, and walked the beautiful streets. Audrey thinks we should live there long term--it is THAT charming.
Day Two--(which was also my birthday) turned out to be an eventful one! We went to Cape Cod--which is breathtaking--and played on the beach. I sat down to enjoy my soft turkey sandwich and CRACK, I broke one of my front teeth. So then as I was frantically calling to see which dentist I could get into I PLOP, dropped my cell phone into the ocean...and it went KAPUT. Lame. Lucky for me, Audrey laughed her head off, and so did I, and a couple hundred dollars later I have a fixed tooth and a new phone. Oh, and I should also mention that I got glass in my foot. Boo.
Look how gorgeous William is!
Hughie sang, "happy birthday no tooth". I must admit, it was sooo hilarious and unexpected that I almost lost it laughing so hard.
Here I am trying to "smile" and hide that hole.
The next day we took it easy, and enjoyed an ICE CREAM festival. Hugh beat us all out with 5 different bowls. It was a lot of fun, and if it wasn't so hot and muggy we could've stayed longer. Or if I hadn't busted my tooth and didn't need to get to the dentist. Take your pick. :) Audrey was so good to take my boys home and so I could go and get my tooth fixed. Geoff had been on nights during her visit, so unfortunately he was zonked and couldn't join in the ice cream eating fun.
We loved, loved, loved having you here. We wish you could have stayed longer. Thank-you for coming! We can't wait to see you in January!!!
